Accrington Town Hall is a beautiful Grade ll Listed Building in the heart of East Lancashire. A stunning refurbishment programme has created a range of fantastic spaces for weddings and events, including the Ballroom.

Accrington Town Hall is suitable for a host of occasions, from weddings and engagement parties to christenings, sportsman’s dinners, live shows, community activities, afternoon teas and much more. A refurbishment programme spanning the last 4 years has seen the development of a range of beautiful spaces, with the final phase on the ground floor finally complete!

Accrington Town Hall’s main attraction is undoubtedly The Ballroom.
Dating back to 1858, the ballroom has undergone a respectful restoration to enhance its striking original features while bringing its facilities right up-to-date for modern events and functions.  It has a capacity of 350 theatre style, whilst 240 people can comfortably be accommodated for larger parties wishing to enjoy a Wedding Breakfast or any event serving a three course dinner.

The multi functional ballroom space features a fully sprung dancefloor – the only other of its kind in the North West is at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool.

With striking acoustics and a cutting-edge multi-coloured indoor & outdoor lighting scheme, the revamped ballroom is serviced by two new bars – one located behind the stage area and a mezzanine cocktail bar overlooking the Ballroom itself.

The Cocktail Bar is the perfect break out space for your wedding or large event, yet also lends itself as an intimate space for smaller events catering for up to 50 people.

2020 is another year to look forward to, as Accrington Town hall embarks on its final phase of refurbishment as we create a new range of features on the ground floor including The Vintage and Acorn Suites. The suites are available to hire for medium sized events or to accommodate smaller intimate weddings. A ground floor bar will also be created accessible from either suite.
